Already have a quote?

If another company has already quoted you $5,000, $6,000, $7,000 or more, read this before you sign anything.

Most of that number never touches the equipment that ends up in your garage. Before you pay for a single piece of a water system you are paying four other people: the representative who drove out to your house, the commission he earns the moment you say yes, the setter who booked him the appointment, and the national advertising budget that put his company in front of you in the first place.

We do not employ a single one of them. All four of those costs came out of the business, and they came off your price. The system we install does the same job in the same house, it is made in America, and it runs on its own solar panel rather than on your power bill.

The difference

Why ours runs on the sun

Every SolarPure system carries its own solar panel. That one design choice is why it costs nothing to run and why it goes places other systems cannot.

1

Its own solar panel

The panel ships with the system. Nothing to wire into the house, nothing shared with another circuit.

1 hr

Of daylight a day

That is all it takes to recharge the long life NiMH battery backup that holds your settings.

$0

On your power bill

It adds nothing to what you pay the utility, and it installs where there is no outlet.

The drinking water stage

Ultrafiltration at the kitchen sink, with nothing going down the drain

The SolarPure Complete system adds a three stage direct-connect filter under the kitchen sink. It plumbs inline with the cold water line you already have, it needs no drain connection and no separate faucet, and it holds better than a gallon and a half a minute so the tap still behaves like a tap.

1

Sediment filter

5 micron polypropylene

Catches the dirt, rust, scale and silt that come down the line before any of it reaches the finer stages.

2

Carbon block

0.5 to 1 micron premium carbon

Adsorbs chlorine and chloramine, volatile organic compounds, lead and the odors that ride along with them.

3

Ultrafiltration

0.01 micron hollow fiber

A physical barrier tight enough to block bacteria, viruses, parasites and microplastics, while the natural minerals pass straight through.

Nothing goes down the drain

Reverse osmosis runs cross-flow, which means it constantly sends water across the membrane to keep it clean and straight down the drain. Ultrafiltration is forward-flow, so every drop that enters the system comes out of your tap.

No wasted water on your bill

A standard reverse osmosis system sends two to four gallons down the drain for every gallon it gives you to drink. A direct-connect ultrafiltration system wastes none of it.

No drain connection, so far less to leak

Reverse osmosis needs a drain saddle clamped onto the trap under your sink, and that pressurized tap into a thin waste line is a common cause of slow cabinet leaks nobody notices for months. Ultrafiltration needs no drain line at all.

Water that still tastes like water

Reverse osmosis strips everything down to 0.0001 microns, including the calcium and magnesium that give water its taste, which is why it often comes out flat and slightly acidic. Ultrafiltration stops at 0.01 microns, which blocks what you want blocked and leaves the minerals alone.

What you are up against

An honest look at what hard water is doing to your house

Florida sits on limestone aquifers, so hard water is close to universal here, and the chlorine the utility adds to keep the supply safe arrives right along with it.

Hard water scale and mineral crust built up on a chrome bathroom faucet

Scale builds up on everything

Hard water leaves a mineral crust on faucets and shower glass, and the same thing is happening inside your water heater where you cannot see it.

A single water droplet falling into still water, forming concentric rings

Chlorine is in there by design

The utility has to disinfect the supply before it reaches you, so chlorine goes in at the plant and it is still there at your tap, in the glass and in the shower.

A clear glass being filled with clean drinking water

Drinking water gets handled too

The Complete system adds three stage ultrafiltration at the kitchen sink, so the water you cook with and drink is treated separately and properly.

What is in the tank

Four media beds and four fail-safes

These are the same media a water treatment professional would specify if you asked him to build this properly, in a tank where the failure modes have been designed out rather than covered by a warranty claim.

Catalytic activated carbon, the stage 1 media inside a SolarPure system
Stage 1

Catalytic activated carbon

Strips out the chlorine and chloramine the utility adds, along with the taste and odor that come with them.

Ion exchange resin, the stage 2 media inside a SolarPure system
Stage 2

Ion exchange resin

Pulls out the calcium and magnesium that scale your pipes and shorten the life of every appliance.

KDF, the stage 3 media inside a SolarPure system
Stage 3

KDF

Inhibits bacteria growth and takes on iron, hydrogen sulfide and heavy metals.

Garnet gravel, the stage 4 media inside a SolarPure system
Stage 4

Garnet gravel

Sits underneath the finer media, holds the flow rate up and keeps everything above it where it belongs.

Build and fail-safes
Self-cleaning control valve
Cleans itself for maximum performance and long service life. High flow rates keep pressure up when more than one fixture is running.
Automatic bypass during regeneration
The system steps aside while it regenerates, so the house never loses water mid-cycle.
Tank-within-a-tank construction
Fail-safe by design rather than by warranty claim.
Brine float overflow protection
A float shuts the brine tank down before it can overflow onto the floor.
Solar panel and NiMH battery backup
One hour of daylight a day keeps the battery charged and the program settings held.
Why we cost less

We took four costs out of the business and off your price

None of these four things has anything to do with the equipment that ends up in your garage, and all four of them are inside a $7,000 quote.

We do not carry any of that, which is the entire reason the same system costs what it costs here.

Who built it

A water treatment professional built this, not a marketing company

Ed Sweat has been in water treatment since 1993, trained by the largest water treatment dealer in the country. He saw what treated water does for a home, and he believes every family should have it. He also saw what kept most families from getting it: a price built around the salesman, his commission and the advertising, not the equipment. So he built SolarPure to prove you can put equal or better equipment in a home without charging for everything else.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does a SolarPure system cost?

SolarPure Whole Home is $3,295 installed and SolarPure Complete is $3,995 installed. Complete adds three stage direct-connect ultrafiltration drinking water at the kitchen sink. Both are installed prices rather than starting points, and financing can be applied for by text with an answer in minutes.

Does somebody have to come to my house before I get a price?

No. SolarPure moved off in-home sales appointments entirely. The price is published and a quick phone call is all it takes. If you’d prefer someone to come out first, we’ll arrange a visit. Nobody will show up to sell you anything.

I already have a quote from another company. Will you tell me if it is fair?

Yes. Call 877-709-PURE and read us what you were quoted and what they proposed to install, and we will tell you plainly what that number is actually paying for, side by side with our published price.

Why is SolarPure so much cheaper than a $7,000 quote?

Because four costs inside that quote have nothing to do with the equipment: the representative who drives to the house, the commission he earns on the sale, the setter who books the appointment, and a national advertising budget. SolarPure carries none of them, and the savings came off the price.

How does a water system run on solar?

Every SolarPure system carries its own solar panel. One hour of daylight a day recharges a long life NiMH battery backup that holds the control settings, so the system adds nothing to your power bill and it installs in a garage or utility closet where there is no outlet to plug into.

What is inside the tank?

Four media beds: catalytic activated carbon for chlorine, chloramine, taste and odor; ion exchange resin for the calcium and magnesium that scale pipes; KDF for iron, hydrogen sulfide and heavy metals; and a garnet gravel support bed that holds the flow rate up. The control valve is self cleaning, it bypasses automatically during regeneration so the house never loses water, the tank is built tank within a tank, and a brine float shuts it down before it can overflow.

Why ultrafiltration instead of reverse osmosis for drinking water?

Reverse osmosis sends two to four gallons down the drain for every gallon you drink, needs a drain saddle clamped onto the sink trap that is a common cause of slow cabinet leaks, and strips out the calcium and magnesium that give water its taste. Three stage direct-connect ultrafiltration filters to 0.01 microns, which blocks bacteria, viruses, parasites and microplastics, wastes no water at all, needs no drain connection, and leaves the natural minerals in.

Where does SolarPure install?

Central Florida, and SolarPure has been installing here since 2014. Outside Florida the system is carried by independent SolarPure dealers.

Who actually does the installation?

Sunologi, Inc., licensed Florida contractor CBC1261200.

Is SolarPure for homes on city water?

Yes. SolarPure systems are sold and installed for homes on a municipal water supply.
